In March 2025, Disconap took to the stage of Bristol's legendary Thekla as headline act - our reward for winning the Overload Battle of the Bands.
We marked the occasion with a full-throttle, full-pyjama performance that shook the boat and the brains of everyone on board. Scholars of the future will study and debate this performance, desperately attempting to decipher the meaning behind our symbolic poetry and abstract hip thrusting.
Was it punk? Was it dance? Was it performance art disguised as a breakdown disguised as a gig? Yes.
"Dance punk does little to describe the eclecticism of the band formerly (and currently) known as Disconap.
Inspired by many bad trips and not enough sleep, Disconap aren't here to make sense, they're here to make noise.
The perfect soundtrack for Sunday lunch with your nan or a full scale prison riot for the criminally insane.
These young HOTshots are only just beginning their chaotic ascent. Catch them now, before they're living in glass castles, wearing nothing but mink fur pants, and accused of selling out by people who've never loved anything in their lives."
Bristol 4 piece Disconap are: Josh Knox (Vocals), Edward Diserens (Guitar), Billie Bacon (Bass), Matt Wahab (Drums).
Fresh on the scene Disconap have been focusing on their live performance for their first year and have written an hours set of genre defiying music fusing punk with anything that and everything that grooves.
2025 shows cancelled due to illness
"This story is a warning, a cautionary tale - don't mess with drugs, kids. Leave that to us..."
Ever wondered what happens when you push things just a little too far? Meet Ketamine Jack - a man who became a horse.
An indie-psychedelic overdose with hoofbeats, existential dread, and just slightly too little cowbell, this track reveals Disconap's softer, stranger, more melodic side. It's less punk, more vibe - but no less unhinged. Absurd, catchy, and weirdly tragic, Ketamine Jack gallops straight into your subconscious and sets up camp.
